Is Cacti seltzer going out of business?

After the tragedy at Astroworld, Travis Scott’s Cacti Hard Seltzer has been discontinued. The rapper’s debut into the beverage industry was the Cacti hard seltzer line. However, the brand has been discontinued as a result of the catastrophe at his 2021 Astroworld music extravaganza.

How is Cacti seltzer distributed?

According to Newsweek, the company that makes and sells Cacti hard seltzer said Friday that it is no longer making the beverage. There was no mention of the Astroworld catastrophe, which took the lives of 10 fans. But it hasn’t even been a month since the incident. The decision to suspend sales wasn’t unilateral, according to an unnamed person with connections to the rapper, and it also wasn’t “a cancellation or termination of a continuing arrangement,” according to TMZ. Scott supposedly planned to leave the hard seltzer industry as well, preferring to focus his time and efforts on helping people deal with the Astroworld events rather than his commercial endeavors. However, there was still a chance that the brand would come back in the future.

After Astroworld, Anheuser-Busch isn’t the only company to give up on Scott. His likeness was removed from “Fortnite” by Epic Games, Nike postponed the release of his upcoming shoes, his contract with Mega64 to produce movies was canceled, and General Mills withdrew itself as well. It’s difficult to determine what all of this means for Scott at this point, as the consequences of the concert disaster are still being felt, but it seems reasonable to say that he is currently down, if not out of the branding game.

How is Seltzer the cacti doing?

Anheuser-Busch stated on Friday that it will no longer sell Travis Scott’s Cacti line of hard seltzers, breaking their connection with the musician less than a year after the Astroworld tragedy.

“We have made the decision to halt all CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer production and brand development following thorough consideration. The beverage manufacturer issued a statement on Friday saying, “We think brand followers will comprehend and support this decision.”

Although Anheuser-Busch did not expressly mention the Astroworld disaster as the cause of the hard seltzer line’s discontinuation, it wasn’t because of low sales: When Cacti first hit the market in March 2021, it instantly sold out online, and retailers had trouble keeping the product in stock. “Many of them claim to have never witnessed anything like it: sold out in a single day, CEO Michel Doukeris said at the time, according to CNBC.

Why did New York seltzer become obsolete?

When a beloved product is discontinued, nostalgia gradually sets in among its devotees. But can it survive if it is revived years later?

When a beloved product is discontinued, nostalgia gradually sets in among its devotees. Can the product live up to years of raised expectations when it is revived years later? The majority of the time, the answer is yes: this year has seen a wave of food and beverage brands revived with a nod to nostalgia, from Surge soft drinks to French Toast Crunch. Even Crystal Pepsi is suddenly making resurgence hints. The revival of Original New York Seltzer, a small-batch popular soda that was decades ahead of its time and mysteriously disappeared over 20 years ago, may be the most unexpected comeback to date.

Fans of the soda will recall its recognizable small glass bottles and the colorful cityscape label design with a different hue for each individual flavor. Fans also recall that the drink was abruptly put out of business in the early 1990s when its original proprietors chose to seek other opportunities.

Does Cacti Seltzer contain tequila?

NEW YORKAs a founder with America’s top brewer, Anheuser-Busch, Diamond certified recording artist, songwriter, producer, fashion mogul, and all-around creative dynamo Travis Scott is poised to introduce his newest venture CACTITM Agave Spiked Seltzer nationally tomorrow. The future of the seltzer category is CACTITM Agave Spiked Seltzer, which was first introduced in December. The 100% premium blue agave from Mexico used to make the 7 percent ABV seltzer will come in three varieties at first: pineapple, strawberry, and lime.

Earlier this evening, Scott presented a new TV commercial during the 2021 GRAMMY Awards, introducing fans to the world of CACTITM for the first time. The commercial tells the magical history of how CACTITM first came to be, and it was created by Scott with his unmatched creative vision. From there, it follows the delivery of CACTITM Agave Spiked Seltzer to a nearby store for everyone (21+) to enjoy. Eric Andre, a comedian and actor, as well as Travis Scott himself, make cameo appearances in the commercial, which was directed by Trey Edward Shults. Fans may view the entire commercial right here.

It’s a weird time for me and the team to finally release CACTI into the world and into the hands of the fans, said Travis Scott. “I’ve had a clear vision for this and have wanted to do it for a time. Being intimately involved in every aspect of the creative process was crucial to me, from the flavor, obviously, to the can design, packaging, and the complete brand universe we’ve created. I wanted to develop a beverage brand that stood out from the competition. Our agave-infused seltzer is incredibly smooth and pleasant, and I’m quite proud of the company as a whole. Together, we started this project from scratch, and this is only the beginning.

Alongside the senior team at Anheuser-Busch, Scott and his Cactus Jack creative collective built the CACTITM brand from the bottom up. With the introduction of CACTITM, two renowned inventors have rethought not just what a conventional partnership may entail but also what the future of the seltzer category might hold.

This is a genuine cooperation, not a one-time or limited-edition project. Travis’ entry into the beverage market with CACTITM symbolizes a long-term goal for all stakeholders as they work to transform the beverage sector.

According to Michel Doukeris, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, “Travis’ creative vision combined with our industry-leading skills has unleashed something really remarkable. “Travis is a contender in today’s pop culture landscape who provides unmatched influence among adult consumers. We’re a corporation built on great ideas. Anheuser-Busch led the industry in innovations in 2020, and with the release of CACTI and our partnership with Travis Scott, we intend to maintain that trend into 2021 and beyond.

The rich fruit flavor and usage of 100% quality blue agave from Mexico in CACTITM Agave Spiked Seltzer, which is brewed in Los Angeles, set it apart from other products on the market right now. What flavor does Cacti seltzer have?

The oversaturated hard seltzer market now includes cacti. Three flavors—Strawberry, Lime, and Pineapple—of the Travis Scott and Anheuser-Busch collaboration beer are available, and it is brewed in Mexico.

Cacti is stronger than other beers and boasts a 7 percent ABV in each 12-oz can, which adds 150 calories and 3 carbohydrates to the total. White Claw, the industry standard, provides 100 calories per can.

It is manufactured from blue agave, just like tequila, but unlike tequila, it also contains fruit juice, sugar, and malted rice as additional sweeteners.

Can you get drunk from Cactus Jacks?

These evaluations give the impression that I consume a lot of Cactus Jack’s, despite the fact that I don’t actually enjoy it and don’t recall ever purchasing it prior to the founding of Booze Review. Kool Kola Schnapps is another one of Cactus Jack’s great libations that we have today.

The 750ml bottle of Cactus Jack’s Kool Kola Schnapps contains a 15% beverage. My friend gave it to me and said, “Would you like this? It makes me throw up, so I can’t drink it. I’m eager to consume it because of this. This bottle probably costs approximately 7, but as I received it for free, my opinion of it is already slightly biased in its favor (as long as it doesn’t make me throw up uncontrollably, that is).

Except for a few small variations brought on by the larger bottle size, the bottle design isn’t significantly different from that of the blackcurrant schnapps previously evaluated. I don’t know why they chose to spell the term Kool Kola that way because no self-respecting grownup will think, “Oh wow! Kool Kola! Before running out to buy armfuls of the drink, he exclaimed, “I’ll be the most popular guy in the office!” On the other side, I believe this drink is mostly promoted to 6 year old girls because of the vibrant colors and unique name. On the label on the back, the lines “Let’s hope you’ll grab for this refreshing beverage after a long day of strenuous work throughout the long summer months.

The cherry red color of Cactus Jack’s pour is strong and almost brilliant. If the cranberries were radioactive and packed with hate, the mixture would resemble cranberry juice. The aroma is exceedingly sweet and artificially cola-flavored, and it gives off the impression that it will make you sick quickly. The beverage has a taste that is quite similar to cola cubes with a dash of Calpol. This initially looks to be a good thing because it is so simple to drink, but after a few drinks, the sweetness and sugar content become overwhelming. The drink’s thickness becomes apparent with each bite, which is not a good thing for someone who prefers not to chew their booze. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to drink this stuff slowly or do shots, but the sweetness of it makes drinking it slowly through a glass incredibly unpleasant. Sipping this drink may not be the best option, but since it only has a 15 percent alcohol content, taking shots of it would be similar to taking shots of wine, so you’d need to consume the full bottle (21 shots) to start feeling the effects. You shouldn’t mix Cactus Jack’s with a non-alcoholic mixer; if I had vodka, I might try mixing it to cut some of the sweetness.

The overall flavor of Cactus Jack’s Kool Kola Schnapps isn’t bad, but it’s too nauseating to drink all night. Unfortunately, unless you consume a lot of it, it isn’t potent enough to make you intoxicated. Only because I didn’t have to pay for it does Kool Kola rank higher than the blackcurrant flavor in terms of taste. Thankfully, Cactus Jack’s does not make you throw up, but after a glass, you will feel as though you have had many boxes of donuts and will simply want to lie down.
