4. Trim the yarn, leaving a 30-cm tail, and pass it through the last few stitches on your needle.

Yesterday, I was wandering around the neighborhood when I took this picture. The designs of Mother Nature are masterful.
The renowned Fibonacci number sequence, which has the elements 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8,…, where each is the sum of the two numbers before it, is sometimes encoded in the beautiful spiral patterns found in cactus and other plants.
The circular head of a cactus is covered with little bumps, each holding one pointed spike, or “sticker. You can begin in the middle of some cacti and “To make a spiral pattern with 3, 5, or 8 branches, link the dots from each sticker to its closest neighbor. The Fibonacci sequence consists of these three numbers in succession. This or other triples of Fibonacci numbers can be seen on other cacti, sunflowers, and pinecones.
What does knitting k1 TBL mean?
Knitting through the back loop, commonly known as the twisted knit stitch. Typically, this is referred to as “k1tbl.” In order to create a twisted knit stitch, we place the needle through the back of the stitch instead of the front as we normally would. Complete the stitch as usual after wrapping the yarn around.
Typically abbreviated as “p1tbl,” the twisted purl stitch. Less popular than knitting through the back loop, purling through the back loop can be challenging to master. It’s simple, I assure you! How to move the needle is the trick. From the back of the stitch to the front, pass the right needle through the stitch from left to right. The stitch is twisted when the needle is pushed toward the front of the work. See how it has been bent? Now finish the stitch as usual after wrapping the yarn around. No problem, right?

Although twisted rib is tougher than plain rib, it is still a good material for hat brims, neckbands, and cuffs. A single column of twisted knit stitches makes a lovely fake “side seam” when knitting a sweater with a Reverse Stockinette stitch backdrop. Contrast simple rib with some twisted rib. When you are proficient at knitting and purling through the back loop, you are prepared for a new challenge: creating cables with twisted stitches. In my future pattern, twisted stitches are used to create a zigzag cable on a twisted rib background.
