Do majestic palms enjoy being confined by roots?
As the potted majesty palms expand, the roots either become confined to the container or begin to protrude through the drainage holes. It is therefore required to repot your majesty’s palm into a bigger container. A majesty palm that has been repotted will have the additional room and new soils it needs to accommodate the additional root system.
Newspapers, pruning shears, a new pot or container, fresh, well-draining potting soil, and lava rocks if your new pot or container lacks drainage holes are some of the materials you’ll need while repotting your majesty palm. Water the plants
To remove the dirt and prime the root ball, you must water your plant two days prior to repotting. Fill the pots or container with water until it begins to easily drain through the drainage holes. Select a larger container

When should a palm tree be repotted inside?
All year round, most palms require abundant natural light. For the majority of indoor palms, filtered light close to a south-east or west-facing window is ideal.
Keep the palms wet at all times. They must never be let to stand in water or to dry out. Too much moisture in the soil can cause root rot. When the soil’s top dries, water the area well. Like many houseplants, palms gain a great deal from spending the summer outside. Gradually acclimate them to brighter light when you transfer them outside for the summer. Indoor palms shouldn’t be left outside in the direct sun or left sitting in a saucer that collects too much water and rots the roots. Use a slow-release palm fertilizer with a 12-4-12 or 8-2-12 analysis to fertilize the plant. To sustain a healthy plant, it should contain micronutrients like iron, manganese, zinc, boron, and copper. Only fertilize two to three times a year, in the spring and summer when the plant is actively growing. Palms may suffer if fertilizer is used excessively.
If the pot is filled with roots, palms may only require repotting every two to three years and perform best when their roots are constrained. In the early spring or summer, repotter as necessary. Care should be exercised when repotting the plant because many palms have delicate root systems that are easily harmed. The majority of palms are grown from seeds. Some plants can be divided to produce new ones.
Can I plant a majesty palm in ordinary potting soil?
In order to flourish to its greatest capacity, a Majesty Palm requires bright, well-draining soil. Better aeration is provided by sand-based soil, which is desirable. Although plants naturally find all the nutrients they require in soil, a plant can use all the nutrients in its potting mix in a matter of months.
