Forbes claims that Rogen followed a “extensive testing procedure, selecting three strains—two sativas, Diablo Wind and Pancake Ice, and one indica, Pink Moon—as the brand’s initial launch strains.
According to Rogen, who spoke to Fast Company via Zoom, “People who love weed also like good stuff and aren’t simply lazy slobs.
Cannabis doesn’t deserve that because it has long been behind your desk, in your sock drawer, and under your coffee table. It fits in with the other items you believe best express your sensibility.

The herb is top-shelf, and the suggested retail price of $60 for an eighth reflects this. Canopy Growth Corp. and actor Seth Rogen’s Houseplant cannabis startup say they have mutually decided to dissolve their partnership.
The decision was made, according to a statement from Houseplant, since the Canadian market has changed significantly since the two marijuana businesses teamed together in 2018, before cannabis was legalized.
The firms agreed that now is the perfect moment to separate, allowing Smiths Falls, Ontario-based Canopy to concentrate on wholly-owned brands for the Canadian market and Houseplant to flourish independently.
Through the end of September, Canadian shops will still be able to purchase some Houseplant cannabis items, but the business says it will relaunch the market at a later, as-yet-undetermined time with goods more in line with its U.S. offers.
Canopy was not a part of the March market expansion for Houseplant in the United States.
Rogen co-owns Houseplant with former childhood buddy turned business partner Evan Goldberg, and the two have added cannabis-infused drinks, pre-rolls, soft gels, and flower to the company’s product offerings.
Has Houseplant opened a shop yet?
Houseplant, the marijuana company founded by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, has created a significant amount of FOMO. Numerous smokers and fans of Rogen have complained that they can’t seem to get their hands on the new flower since the brand’s launch in Los Angeles was announced through online orders on the website. This is because waves of orders caused the weed company to sell out multiple times and crash the site.
When American Idol star Ricky Manning was unable to secure an eighth, he tweeted the most current GQ UK cover boy. MUCH larger drop coming, in response, said Rogen.
We now know what that drop is because Houseplant announced today that it will be accessible starting on April 15 in 17 dispensaries throughout California, just in time for 4/20.

Rogen recently entered the art market by auctioning off one of his ceramic vases to raise money for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s programs. The nameless vase outperformed expectations by fetching a total sale price of $12,000 USD when just $3,000 USD was anticipated.
The last round of bidding for Rogen’s ceramic vase took place this past Tuesday, and the runner-up lost out to the winning bidder despite intending to purchase the sculpture for $11,000 USD. “Rogen employs glaze sculpturally to build up the surfaces of his vases to weird and often comic effect,” according to a description on the auction page for the vase.

Where can Houseplant be found?
Customers are tweeting images of their purchases from Seth Rogen’s marijuana firm, Houseplant, which officially launched in the United States on Thursday.
The business founded by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, which offers marijuana delivery services and home products like lighters and ashtrays, originally went live in Canada in May 2019.
Customers had to wait in line to access the website when it crashed due to the response to the U.S. debut.
On its website, Houseplant claims to be “for people who love weed, by people who love weed.” According to the statement, Rogen and Goldberg “hand-selected (and frequently smoked)” each strain, and “If they wouldn’t smoke it, Houseplant wouldn’t sell it!”
Currently, the company only offers its cannabis for delivery in California, but a recent press release stated that later this spring, it would also be offered at dispensaries there.
Customers who were successful in obtaining the goods tweeted about their purchases, such as comedian Sarah Silverman, who wrote: “Tonight’s nugs via #Houseplant.”
Author Gennefer Gross described the purchasing procedure from Houseplant and claimed she left her Zoom conference early so she could purchase the marijuana when it was on sale.
Three different cannabis strains are currently available from the business. They are Pink Moon, which has a “mild sedative effect that makes for relaxing conversation with friends and family and lets you shake off the day and glide into a pleasant night’s sleep,” Diablo Wind, which is “known for its cerebral high, which is perfect for getting things done,” Pancake Ice, to “smoke for an energized yet mellow high that’ll have you facing the day with a smile,” and Pink Moon.
Although several items have now sold out, the website still offers the following trade-in option: “Even though this product is sold out, we’ve kept a couple on hand.”
It invites people to sign up to learn more about exchanging anything for a Houseplant item that has sold out.
It makes me so happy to see people are getting our tins of weed and appreciating them, Rogen wrote in a tweet on the reception to the launch. Send me photos, please!
“We appreciate your patience today. Although it was crazy, I am incredibly grateful for your support and sincerely hope you enjoy what you have. We have a ton more s*** coming!
In what city is Houseplant based?
Seth Rogen recently extended an invitation to Architectural Digest to give a tour of the interior design and operations of the Houseplant headquarters. Celebrity homes are frequently examined by Architectural Digest, including those of Cara Delevingne, Serena Williams, Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris, and Binging with Babish, to mention a few.
The tour of Houseplant published by Architectural Digest on April 27 is a little different. It investigates the interior design as a home and a workplace. In 2019, Rogen and his business partner Evan Goldberg established Houseplant. They first joined forces with Canopy Growth Corp. to run their business solely in Canada, but as of 2021, they will now be based in California.
Along with quirky and contemporary home décor products like ashtrays, lighters, and even a lighter caddy in the form of Rogen’s dog, a Cavalier King Charles named Zelda, the company also sells a line of cannabis that is presently only available in California.
The headquarters of Houseplant are in a Los Angeles home built in 1918. In the words of Architectural Digest, “Midcentury contemporary furniture creates a warm but minimalist appearance.
As I said, it was something you would expect we would have wanted from the beginning, but I’ll be honest, we did not set out to base Houseplant out of a house,” Rogen said to ArchitecturalDigest. “We founded the marijuana and home goods company Houseplant, and we needed a place to set up shop, sort of like a workspace where people could hang out. We talk a lot about our items, many of which are home goods, so being able to see them in a setting similar to a house proved to be quite helpful.
The several products that are on show in the residence are a reflection of the reasons that Rogen founded the Houseplant brand. Rogen said, “We wanted it to arrive in creative and attractive packaging. And as someone who, you know, smokes pot all day every day and likes for their home to represent their sensibilities, who they are, and their interests, I actually found it difficult to furnish my home in a way that complemented the fact that I smoke weed all day every day.
Many of the distinctive products offered by the brand were developed at Houseplant HQ. We would come up with as many inventive methods as we could to kind of demonstrate our love of weed, so it was just fun, you know.
As an illustration, the group thought of the idea of creating exclusive vinyl soundtracks that are matched to particular cannabis session vibes. He said, “They’re basically mixtapes that are made to go with the moods of the different strains. “So the music on the Sativa album is all pretty bouncy. Additionally, the music on the Indica album is all really relaxing. And we choose all the songs, which are fantastic and which I always listen to. Additionally, the music is fantastically mixed to accompany the various strains of marijuana.
One of Houseplant’s most well-known products is ashtrays. Rogen and the crew have used a wide collection of historic ashtrays to elegantly replicate those design aspects from the 1950s to the 1970s in the home.
He displayed the Houseplant ashtray’s initial design, a “deep well ceramic ashtray with a notch.
“These ashtrays were constructed using ashtrays that I had created. Ashtrays were among the first items Rogen made since they aren’t too complicated and also because he thought the design was good but wasn’t widely used. “Basically, like a tiny cup with a tiny notch in it. So I started making them, followed by our beginning to produce them, and thousands of people are now the proud owners of them. He also noted that they like to test out prototypes in the office for extended periods of time—sometimes for months at a time—to see if they function as intended.
“At Houseplant, we have one of the world’s greatest collections of vintage ashtrays. Having said that, not necessarily something for which a lot of people are jockeying. You might very easily establish one of the largest vintage ashtray collections in the world right in your own home. However, we currently have a number of them, find them to be motivating, and find them to be useful to have about.
To meet co-founder and CEO “Mikey Michael Mohr, co-founder Alex Mcatee, and Caitlin Morris (whose function was not made clear), Rogen and Goldberg took the Architectural Digest video crew to an outside patio. They made only passing mention of their intentions to introduce cannabis-infused beverages sometime in 2022.
“Yes, we have drinks that we have been developing, formulating, and working on. We’re very excited about these, and they’ll be launching later this year,” added Mohr. ” They are effervescent flavored waters with low and moderate THC concentrations that taste fantastic. No calories, no sugar, either.
