Riverdale on The CW features a recurring character named Sweet Pea. The actor Jordan Connor plays him.
Sweet Pea is a member of the Southside Serpents and went to Southside High before it was closed down by Mayor McCoy due to alleged poisonous vapors coming from the “methamphetamine lab” in the basement. He and Toni Topaz, Jughead Jones, and Fangs Fogarty transferred to Riverdale High shortly after the school was closed.
Sweet Pea seems to have a tremendous deal of contempt for the Northside and its residents, as do many Southsiders. The Riverdale Bulldogs and the Red Circle have been involved in multiple violent clashes with him as a result of his seeming greater level of animosity for them. Each of his interactions with Reggie Mantle and Archie Andrews has been as violent as the last, if not more so. He holds the Northside responsible for the problems in the Southside, and Fangs’ shooting incident outside the sheriff’s office only fueled his animosity toward the Northside as he led the younger Serpents in defiling Riverdale High during the riots. He would subsequently discover that not all residents of the Northside are his adversaries, though.
Is Sweet Pea Jughead’s sibling?
Jughead’s hesitation to join the Southside Serpents was a big reason why Sweet Pea and Jughead’s relationship didn’t start out well. Given that the Serpents regarded Jughead to be a Serpent by blood and that he was the son of their leader, FP Jones, Sweet Pea quickly welcomed Jughead into his group as one of their own. They regarded him as family and even treated him as such, lending a helping hand and offering assistance when needed. Jughead, on the other hand, didn’t feel the same sense of familial ties to the group. He more often thought of himself as a stand-by conscientious objector. This way of thinking about the serpents infuriated Sweet Pea. He interpreted this as a show of disdain. Jughead was specifically warned by Sweet Pea that because he was the son of the Serpent leader, he had a target on his back and that refusing the Serpents’ offer of friendship would only increase the likelihood that he would be assaulted. After being attacked by the Ghoulies, Jughead ultimately made the decision to join them, just as Sweet Pea had predicted. Since Jughead underwent the initiation to join the Serpents as a full-fledged member, the two have developed a newfound respect for one another.
In Riverdale, who does Sweet Pea date?
The summer affair between Sweet Pea and Josie McCoy was made public in Season 3. Sweet Pea informed him that whatever they were doing had to finish because she wanted to concentrate on her music even if she desired a serious relationship with Josie. Josie won’t make things official with Sweet Pea, but they keep getting together nonetheless.
Sweet Pea declines Josie’s invitation to her mother’s wedding because she feels betrayed by the latter. Josie also coverstly warms up to Archie in season 3.
When Sweet Pea sees Josie and Archie together at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, he outs their relationship because he feels jaded.
Sweet Pea hasn’t been in any other relationships in Riverdale besides Josie.
Why does Sweet Pea live outside of Riverdale?
In Season 4, Archie and Betty shared a kiss, hinting at the simmering sentiments they may have for one another despite their long-standing partnerships. We definitely want to see where this relationship can go, despite the fact that the execution wasn’t flawless.
Since Season 1, Riverdale’s core four have been matched in the same relationships. While we adore Varchie and Bughead, it’s time to switch things up. There is still room for Betty and Archie’s unrequited love to be completely explored.
Betty and Archie should be able to lean into their affections for one another without betraying Veronica or Jughead thanks to the time jump, which will shake up all of these relationships. We all deserve the opportunity to witness what transpires when they choose the proper moment to become the childhood friends to lovers greatness we’ve been waiting for.
On the other side of the time jump, we just know that at least one Riverdale pair will be hitched, and we hope it’s Cheryl and Toni. These two are the ones who deserve to remain together after all these years.
Have Cheryl and Toni happily married (or engaged) by the time we see them again, and leave the drama to the straight couples.
Just because a couple has made the decision to remain together forever doesn’t mean that relationships stop being intriguing; in fact, in truth, that’s when they become most exciting.
It would make perfect sense for Riverdale to have Choni return as the only established couple following the time jump. They share a college, they already live together, and they frequently return to one another.
While we’re at it, Toni needs a true storyline that doesn’t just revolve around supporting Cheryl’s outrageous behavior. Don’t get me wrong—we adore these two together and even Cheryl’s wacky antics—but Toni has received little screen time over the past two seasons.
Another season when Toni is a stand-alone character unconnected to Cheryl would be appreciated.
Toni was one of the show’s best characters when she first appeared in Season 2, and her position within the serpents was both intriguing and dynamic. Riverdale is adept at developing engaging plots for a variety of characters and weaving them together.
Although Sweet Pea and Reggie are unquestionably supporting characters on Riverdale, we still like them. There are plenty of himbos in Riverdale, which is a wonderful thing. We especially hope to see more of these two.
While Jordan Conner was filming Looking For Alaska, Sweet Pea mysteriously disappeared from a significant portion of Season 4. This wasn’t lost on viewers. Reggie is still around, and while we adore him, we could always use more of his silly, endearing smile.
In general, we’d like to see the Southside Serpents return to the limelight on Riverdale. The show’s found family tropes, which appeared with the creation of the Serpents, are a major reason why Season 2 is still the strongest season thus far.
So many of the best characters on the show either originated from or eventually evolved into Southside Serpents. All of those people are still present, although the gang hasn’t really contributed much since Season 3.
Show us Cheryl and Toni as co-serpent queens, FP and Alice reuniting as legacy members defending their home, and new serpents against fresh adversaries.
You might even bring Penny Peabody back. We had obviously been lacking something exceptional in Riverdale until the Southside Serpents arrived.
I could be the minority, but I thought Veronica and Reggie were great together. There is no reason why we couldn’t also have these two rekindle their romance if we’re switching up the relationships of the main four and investigating Barchie.
Are Reggie and Sweet Pea related?
I want to point out that Reggie has an older brother named Oliver Mantle in at least one comic. Given how much of an old-school pure nerd RAS is and how much he enjoys finding minor easter eggs, the following intriguing factoid that I pulled from Wikipedia might be pertinent:
The cartoon series based on E. C. Segar’s comic strip Thimble Theatre/Popeye has a character named Swee’Pea, also known by the alternate spellings Swee’pea and Sweapea on some titles and formerly known as Sweep Pea. His name is a reference to the sweet pea flower. Popeye’s main character used the nickname “Sweet Pea” as a term of endearment before he was included in the animated shorts. He used such phrase when talking to his girlfriend Olive Oyl in the cartoon We Aim to Please.
With that last statement, I may be going too far, but the rest of it seems incredibly concrete to me. Reggie and Sweet Pea are at least half-siblings. They may not be aware of it yet, but if they are, it clarifies a few things that you may not have realized required explanation, such as:
1) Why, out of all the Serpents in the room, Reggie accuses Sweet Pea of sleeping with Midge as if he knows the child.
2) Why he appeared particularly furious when SP crushed him at basketball tryouts.
3) When the Serpents lead by Sweet Pea came at Archie’s door, he replied, “You have lousy timing, bro.” Reggie is a real dudebro, so it’s possible that the word “bro” here was just part of his lexicon. However, since he already knows this, the most significant thing that their being siblings would explain is…
4) His animosity toward the Serpents and the South Siders in particular. Typical arrogant popular rich boy jock elitism can be used to explain this, which is what I pretty much thought to be the case, but what if he doesn’t want his father’s error to be made known at his school? Because each time he sees Sweet Pea, something that he’d rather not think about comes to mind.
If Reggie and Sweet Pea don’t know they have a family connection, it might be disclosed to them on the show at the same time as it is shown to the viewers.
In any case, I’m largely convinced that these characters are connected, and we’ll learn that early on in season 3.
How did lich turn into sweet pea?
The Lich that was formed in “Escape From the Citadel” has been “rebooted” as Sweet Pig-Trunks, most commonly referred to as Sweet P. The Lich acquired new organs and skin after being splattered with the Citadel Guardian’s curative blood; as a result, he assumed the form of a huge baby and lost almost all memory of his previous form. He was soon given to Mr. Pig and Tree Trunks, who adopted him and gave him a new name.
Whom does Sweet Pea’s mother?
Swee’Pea was presented as being in Olive Oyl’s care in the animated Popeye cartoons made by Max Fleischer and later Famous Studios, however it wasn’t clear whether he was her own child (in the King Features films from the early 1960s, it is hinted that Swee’Pea is Popeye’s nephew). Swee’Pea was first voiced by Mae Questel from 1936 to 1938; from 1938 to 1943, voice actress Margie Hines took over. In the 1960s Popeye cartoons, Mae Questel was given a new role as Swee’Pea. A note asking Popeye to take care of Swee’Pea until his mother can pick him up is attached to Swee’Pea when he is discovered inside a basket that his mother discreetly exchanged with one belonging to Olive Oyl in the animated feature film Popeye. Olive disagrees with Popeye’s suggestion that the infant be given the name Swee’Pea, and he responds, “What name were you planning to give him, then? Little Oyl?” In the movie, Swee’Pea has the ability to predict the future. She does this by quickly rising when she answers questions positively. Other stories portray Swee’Pea as a monarch. Swee’Pea becomes the Crown Prince of Demonia after the death of his birth father. [4] Due to his royal heritage, Swee’Pea needed protection from a villainous uncle who wanted to get rid of him and rule the realm. Swee’Pea’s mother abandoned him at the Oyls’ front door in the confidence that Popeye the dependable sailor would look after him. After objections from parents who said the hairy monster frightened kids, Alice the Goon (originally shown as a slave of the Sea Hag) returned in a flower dress and bonnet and officially became Swee’Pea’s babysitter. Whom does Veronica’s husband in Riverdale?
After the time leap, Chad became Veronica’s husband, and when we first meet him in season five episode four, we find out that they are currently enjoying their one-year wedding anniversary. It appears that the two met while they were both employed on the trading floor on Wall Street. Veronica nearly lost her life in a horrible helicopter crash after they got married and later met. Chad wanted Veronica to find a less demanding job as a result, so she informed him that she would be working at the department store Lacy’s with Katy Keene. However, she was actually employed by a tense jewelry store because Lacy’s lacked “edge.”
It is clear that Chad and Veronica are at odds. Ronnie is definitely against the idea of having a child and would much rather go back to the trading floor, despite Chad’s desire for her to do so. However, Veronica departs the city to attend Pop Tate’s retirement celebration after receiving a call from Archie, leaving their argument largely unsolved.
Who from Riverdale actually dated?
Both Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were actual people. Before the beginning of 2020, the two had been dating for more than three years. What are Riverdale’s serpent laws?
Editor’s Note: The events in Silent Night, Deadly Night clearly conflict with Jughead’s claim in When a Stranger Calls that “A Serpent never exhibits cowardice.” Sweet Pea says that the first law is “No Serpent stands alone.” Penny added, “Serpent law says you can’t hurt one of your own,” to this. Uncertainty exists as to whether this is the undiscovered third law or a different way of expressing the fifth law. Jughead quotes “A Serpent never sheds its skin” in The Blackboard Jungle, which FP confirms is one of the Serpent Laws, but it is not clear if this refers to the unidentified third law or a variant of one of the others.

When was Sweet Pea born?
Atkinson’s long life came to an end on May 5 when, at the age of 74, he passed away in Los Angeles from a deadly heart attack.
While Was (Not Was) became Atkinson’s claim to fame, it also served as a launching pad for a career that featured two solo albums—1982’s Don’t Walk Away and 2017’s Get What You Deserve—and participation in the Boneshakers.
