What distinguishes Sunset Hospitality from other businesses in the industry?
I believe that what distinguishes us from other companies is the way we go about our business. We are very focused on doing and creating an experience that means we return to the true essence of hospitality, which for us is the social element, bringing people together to socialize and spend time with family and friends. Because of this insight, every aspect of our business—from the more laid-back eateries to the beach club to the hotels’ evening hours—grows and evolves around it.
2. What do you anticipate for Sunset Hospitality in the upcoming months?
There are going to be a lot of opportunities both here in Dubai and globally during the next few busy months. The inauguration of Sushi Samba in October on the palm on the 51st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, which will be a remarkable location, will be one of the highlights of the upcoming six months. Also launching on the floor below will be AURA, which will be the highest 360-degree pool in the world. L’AMO Bistro Del Mare, a fine dining Italian seafood restaurant, will open in Dubai Harbor. We also have MOTT 32 and Around the Wall. Dream, one of our newest concepts that is a show dinner concept, will be coming to the address JBR in December and will only be available in Dubai. Internationally, we have a sizable pipeline in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and looking ahead to the following year, we plan to keep expanding our F&B operations while also making significant efforts to expand our hotel business.
3. What will your industry face as its largest issue in the next months?
This business is made up of a variety of components, such as your offering, your location, and your pricing, but your staff is by far the most crucial element. To be able to continue finding the right talent to bring into the culture of the kind of hospitality that we want to do is always a challenge, and I think it’s one of the toughest ones especially as we grow exponentially. The talent that works in our business is the key pillar of everything that we do.
4. In your opinion, how will the hotel sector look in five years?
I believe the hospitality industry is already rebounding significantly and will continue to do so. You’ll notice a sudden urge to travel, gather, and rejoice as soon as we permit customers to mingle. Therefore, I believe that the economy will recover as soon as we are free of the pandemic. Whether it takes a month or a year, I’m not sure, but it will happen. This is a given, and we have repeatedly observed that as soon as the regulations are relaxed, business will pick up.

What is the height of Sunset Tower?
This Art Deco structure with a rooftop pool and panoramic city views rises above the palm palms in the heart of Hollywood. Howard Hughes, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and Frank Sinatra were among the former inhabitants of the 15-story Art Deco skyscraper when it first became an apartment complex in 1929. Jeff Klein, a hotelier and restaurateur based in New York, purchased the decrepit hotel in 2004 and renovated it to put it back on the map. At the poolside restaurant The Terrace, there’s a fair chance you’ll see a celebrity or two as well as deal-making movie studio executives enjoying avocado toast.
Expect a mix of business and leisure travelers, especially from the creative industries, such as the film and fashion industries, as well as local junior agents working morning calls and holding meetings in Tod’s.

Here, guests can relax while drinking drinks in a room lit in a lovely rose tint. A duchess can be a devil, and a superstar can eat with his family one night and his mistress the next, according to owner Jeff Klein, who calls the establishment “an elegant safe haven for the players.”
With dark wood paneling, booths, and cocktail tables, the redesigned Terrace Bar provides an enlarged drink & dining experience. The Terrace Room is light and airy, with unique semi-circular banquettes and armchairs upholstered in pink suede and decorated with potted palm plants.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner can be enjoyed in a calm, informal atmosphere on the Terrace’s newly renovated outdoor area. Even the residents feel like they are on vacation thanks to the fresh white sofas, covered travertine lanai with a view of the pool, and breathtaking vistas of Los Angeles.
How many Golden Tulip Hotels exist globally?
In more than 50 countries throughout the world, Golden Tulip manages about 1,000 hotels with more than 80,000 rooms. According to the company’s own assertions, it is ranked 18th on the list of the biggest hotel chains in the world.
Tulips – a member of the lily family?
The genus Tulipa contains perennial herbaceous bulbiferous geophytes that bloom in the spring (having bulbs as storage organs). Either, the flowers are huge, spectacular, and colorful, typically red, pink, yellow, or white (usually in warm colours). They frequently feature an interior blotch of a distinct color at the base of the tepals (petals and sepals, collectively). Classification has been difficult and contentious because to population heterogeneity and a lengthy history of cultivation. The tulip is one of 14 genera that make up the lily family, Liliaceae, and is most closely related to the genera Amana, Erythronium, and Gagea in the tribe Lilieae.

During the tulip frenzy, they were quickly introduced to Europe and turned into a frantic commodity. Since the Netherlands, the primary supplier for international markets, frequently featured tulips in its paintings throughout the Dutch Golden Age, the flower has come to be linked with the country. During the Dutch tulip frenzy of the seventeenth century, the tulip breaking virus infected tulip bulbs, resulting in varied patterns in the tulip flowers that were highly prized and loved.
