In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can buy new bush beginnings from Leif’s Flower Shop either when he comes to your island outside Resident Services or when Harvey’s Shopping Plaza is established. Leif’s island sightings are highly sporadic, and you have no influence over how often or when he will show there.
Leif will always be selling two different varieties of bushes at a time, in both of their available colors, whether you locate him on your home island or at Harvey’s Island. According on our prior experience, one of the bush types Leif sells will always be the current blossoming bush that is “in season.” The other shrub kind he has appears to have been chosen at random.
Leif charges 280 Bells per bush for a “start,” or 1400 Bells for a bulk box of five bush starts. When visiting neighboring islands, you can also buy shrubs from Leif for a perhaps wider selection.
Every Bush Type and Color Variety List
For Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can cultivate a total of 13 different bushes or shrubs, including 7 distinct varieties with a variety of colors for most bushes. Below are images of each variety of bush in each color.
Plumeria Bushes: Pink & White
The Version 2.0 Update introduced the Pink and White color versions of the Plumeria Bushes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which can be purchased from Leif’s Flower Shop for 280 Bells each. They are also present on the Kapp’n Mystery Islands.
In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from June 1 to September 20; in the Southern Hemisphere, from December 1 to March 20.
Azalea Bushes: Pink & White
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are Pink and White color variations of the Azalea Bushes that can be purchased from Leif’s Flower Shop for 280 Bells apiece. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from April 11 to May 31; in the Southern Hemisphere, from October 11 to November 30.
Camellia Bushes: Pink & Red
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are Pink and Red color variations of the Camellia Bushes that can be purchased from Leif’s Flower Shop for 280 Bells each. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from January 1 to March 31; in the Southern Hemisphere, from June 16 to September 30.
When do hydrangeas appear in Animal Crossing?
Early June through mid-July is the blooming period for blue and pink hydrangeas. Red and yellow hibiscus bloom from late July to mid-September. Orange and yellow tea olives bloom from late September until late October. Early November to late December: Holly (Red) blooms.
Can Leif be your only source for bushes?
List of Special Items from Leif’s Garden Shop: Leif-Only Shrubs On sporadic days, Leif the Sloth’s Garden Shop is open on your island’s central square (approximately once every two weeks). There, you can get unusual bushes and exotic flower seeds.
When does Leif offer azaleas for sale?
Animal Crossing: New Horizons features a wandering trader named Leif, the gardening sloth. Like Kicks or Label, he will occasionally appear with a cart of items.
You can purchase shrubs from Leif, but they must be grown similarly to trees. Once you plant the starter, the bushes will begin to grow within a few days. Additionally, he offers unique blooms for your island. This implies that he will offer flowers that are different from the ones you started with, the ones you saw on your Mystery Island Tours, or the ones that are now in Nook’s Cranny.
The flowers on the bushes bloom at different times of the year, yet all of the shrubs will thrive regardless of the season. Leif will always offer a selection of shrubs in addition to the one that is now in season.

What bushes from Animal Crossing are now in bloom?
These plants won’t always be in bloom, as we just explained. From the earliest part of the year to the last, this is when you may anticipate them to bloom. A few of them won’t bloom until the middle or end of the month, so keep that in mind. For instance, hibiscus won’t produce blossoms until the end of July.

What kinds of bushes sells Leif?
Leif sells many kinds of shrubs.

You need to first purchase a few shrub starters before you may add shrubs to your island. These will eventually develop into bushes and, if the time is right, flower.
Leif will offer four different varieties of shrub beginnings and six different varieties of flower seeds at each of his trips.
Leif’s stall is an excellent way to diversify the wildlife of your island because most of these flower seeds won’t be indigenous to it.
Leif will buy any weeds you might have in your possession for 20 Bells each, which is, as he points out, double what they go for at Nook’s Cranny.
On Harv’s island, what does Leif sell?
Operation hours are from 5am to 11pm (closed if Leif is visiting your island)
Speak to the third Lloid on the right to access Leif’s shop on Harv’s Island. He or she will suggest that you invite a “botany specialist with the greenest of thumbs.” Leif is one of the frequent visitors to your island who sets up shop in front of Resident Services each week.
A wide selection of fruits, bushes, and seeds are available in Leif’s store on Harv’s Island. Feel free to purchase as much as you like from him as his stock is endless. He normally brings plants to your island that are appropriate for the time of year. Leif sells many types of food, bushes, and seeds on Harv’s Island. Weekly updates are made to these items.
Leif also provides two weed-related services. The initial one entails buying weeds. You can obtain more money from selling him clumps of weeds than you would from selling them at Nooks Cranny. Leif’s Weeding Service, the second, lets you pay him 100,000 Bells to get rid of every weed on your island. Your island will be rid of weeds the next day! All the weeds Leif pulled out are in the recycling bin inside Resident Service. After that, you can resell them to him for a profit.
How often does Leif update his inventory?
When Leif comes to your island or from his vendor stand on Harv’s Island, you can buy seed potatoes, tomato beginnings, and carrot begins in New Horizons.
Keep in mind that Leif updates the inventory of his Harv’s Island shop every Monday, so if he doesn’t have the crop you’re looking for, try again the following week!
You can buy each of these crops separately for 280 Bells or in bulk of five for 1,400 Bells.
When sailing with Kapp’n, you might, however, strike it lucky and dock on an island that has potatoes, tomatoes, or carrots. If you do, all of the plants’ crops will be ready for harvest, however some will provide greater yields than others. Leif is there every week, right?
Every two weeks, Leif will make a random trip to your island. At the plaza, he can be seen standing next to his cart of gardening supplies. Leif will definitely come to your island on Nature Day, too!
When does the shrub guy arrive in ACNH?
Leif ought to start showing up on your island on April 23 if your game has been updated to the most recent version. Leif oversees the Gardening Store in New Leaf, which sells seeds (including flower and sapling seeds), fertilizer, and indoor plants. His shop eventually merges with Timmy and Tommy’s, where you can find him on the first floor of T&T Emporium or in the lower-right corner of the gardening part of T.I.Y.
He occasionally wanders around the town when 50 or more weeds have appeared in the player’s town. He occasionally offers to remove some of the town’s weeds when approached. Except while he’s nodding off, in which case he’ll ask the player to gather the weeds.
In Pocket Camp
He makes an appearance in Pocket Camp during “Leif’s Spring Flower Event” in order to rebuild an ecosystem by collecting rare pink, yellow, purple, and navy flower ladybugs. To draw these ladybugs, the player must plant white clovers in their garden, along with yellow and pink sleeping beauties. Leif will give the player a variety of bonuses, such as new furnishings, new clothes, essences, leaf tickets, and even a foreground and middleground of spring flowers.
In New Horizons
Leif was added to New Horizons in the 1.2.0 update as a mobile vendor. From the beginning of the game until 10 p.m., he is available and may be found in the Resident Services plaza. Leif is assured that he will visit the island that week after Nature Day.
Leif offers a variety of flower seeds and bushes that Nook’s Cranny does not typically carry. In addition, he offers to buy weeds for 20 bells each, which is twice the going rate.
Leif is the one who provides you the HedgeDIY Recipe following the Nature Day event. Leif will offer you the DIY if you have purchased enough stuff from him, which appears to be at random.
Leif offers pumpkin begins in October for 140 bells each, which is less expensive than Nook’s Cranny.
If you only had enough money for one bush, Leif would sell you five. Some claim that this is an Easter Egg rather than a bug.
Leif’s weed-pulling service is back as of the 2.0 update for the games. To use the service, the player must first have a particular quantity of weeds on the island. It takes one day and costs 100,000 bells to pull weeds.
On Harv’s Island
On Harv’s Island, Leif may also emerge in the plaza. You must first talk to Harvey after hosting three residents on your island in order to access Harv’s Island.
