Does geranium essential oil work well on the face?
You’ve no doubt observed the delicate, candy-colored blossoms and inhaled the rich, rose-like fragrance of geraniums. You can find these lovely, resilient blooms with their green stalks growing in many yards. But unlike many other flowers and plants, they hide powerful skin advantages beneath a dainty exterior.
Reducing wrinkles and the signs of ageing.
Geranium oil, which is used in our organic Face Cream, naturally tightens the skin on the face and is applied topically to lessen the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It minimizes many of the typical signs of aging skin since it naturally tightens skin without losing hydration and suppleness. Regular use, ideally in a combination with other botanicals, can quickly and visibly reduce those bothersome wrinkles.
Calming and soothing irritated skin and making it glow.
Geranium oil actively improves the health and natural radiance of skin because it is a naturally occurring anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory oil. It fights against skin afflicted by harsh weather conditions or prone to acne by keeping skin in condition and calming irritated or breakout-prone skin.
It helps skin cells naturally rejuvenate, making your skin clearer and giving it a visible natural glow. It is frequently used to treat dermatitis and other harmful skin problems. We blend it with additional oils that significantly improve skin’s appearance, such as Japanese rice bran and Argan, in our botanical Balancing Face Oil to significantly improve the way your skin feels and appears.
Reducing scar tissue and marks caused by skin irritation.
If you have sensitive skin that is prone to irritation, you are probably aware of the unsightly red markings, scar tissue areas, and sores that can appear on skin. Geranium oil is frequently used to treat scar tissue and the dark spots and markings caused by acne and sunburn because it is a natural cicatrisant, which helps healthy new skin cells reproduce more quickly and speeds up the healing of wounds. This makes it a perfect component for moisturisers, cleansers, and balms like ours.
Controlling oiliness and balancing sebum.
Geranium oil has been demonstrated to help people with oily skin eliminate excess oil and keep their skin in a healthy, natural balance. Its antibacterial and antioxidant properties aid in pore clearing and the restoration of the natural sebum balance on the skin’s surface, allowing your skin to breathe and maintaining a younger-looking appearance.
Because of this, using our Exfoliating Powder in conjunction with our Balancing Face Oil will be fantastic for maintaining naturally clean and conditioned skin. Our powder is loaded with natural exfoliants, making it a fantastic cleanser and a perfect method to increase the amount of liquid you can take in your carry-on luggage.

Can I put essential oils on my skin right away?
Essential oils shouldn’t be applied straight to skin because they are such highly concentrated substances. The main justification is that it could irritate your skin and truly make it respond. Yes, I am aware that there will be some who argue that essential oils are healthy since they are natural. Okay, sure. Poison ivy is similar. I don’t see you hurriedly putting that on your skin, do I?
Therefore, it is advised to dilute essential oils before utilizing them, either in an oil for use on skin or in water for a diffuser or bath.
Three methods (or more here) are advised for using essential oils:-
- Drop a few drops of oil into water in an oil burner or diffuser, heat the water, or turn on the diffuser to release the smell into the air.
- incorporated into a lotion or carrier oil
- Before applying the oil to your skin, mix a few drops of it with a carrier oil (such as sweet almond oil) or body lotion that doesn’t have a scent. This makes the oil less potent and makes it easier for your skin to handle.
- in a bathtub
- Before unwinding in the bath, add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to the heated water. Because I don’t have a bath at home, this used to be my favorite hotel activity. and it definitely aids in relaxation, particularly after a long flight or exhausting journey.
All of them have been tested by me, and I typically use my essential oils in a burner, diffuser, or bath. I’ve massaged my body using oil in a carrier oil, but I quickly learned that there is more to it than simply mixing oils with the carrier oil and inhaling the aroma. You also need to see how it affects your skin, and I didn’t have enough faith in myself to avoid doing myself any harm. In order to get a better night’s sleep, I occasionally drop lavender oil on a piece of tissue, but I don’t put it too close to my nose.
This is one of the reasons I don’t make my own skincare, and I don’t intend to, in case you were asking. I am confident that it is feasible because both essential and carrier oils are simple to obtain, and you can find a wealth of helpful information online. However, I’d prefer to let someone else handle it. Bravo if you DIY!
