Any infected plant tissues or waste can acquire the telltale fuzzy, gray growth characteristic of this fungus under conditions of high wetness and humidity.) —Leaves: symptoms can range from small, localized patches or lesions to vast, dead areas, frequently with concentric rings; V-shaped lesions can also form and may be mistaken for those related to Bacterial Blight; lesions frequently appear when spent flower petals fall onto the leaves. —Cuttings and Stems: symptoms manifest as light- to dark-brown lesions at the base of cuttings, which can cause basal rot to fully develop; stubs on stock plants may also develop brown lesions after cuttings are taken. —Flowers: Senescent flowers are typically covered in a gray, fuzzy mass during periods of high moisture and relative humidity.
