Start with a square of paper, preferably one that is thin or lightweight. Use square origami paper or use these simple instructions to fold any rectangle piece of paper into a square.

I adore giving flowers as gifts for all occasions, and just like with other gifts, adding your own flair to the presentation makes it much more memorable, even if it’s as easy as these few suggestions.
Though not the conventional Valentine’s Day color palette, I nevertheless find it to be charming (sure, be romantic with your gal pals). It’s undoubtedly a moodier bouquet of flowers, which I enjoy because it’s a bit unexpected. However, any bouquet of flowers is acceptable and should always be whatever you think lovely.
Lay the bottom half of the flower arrangement on top of the burlap roll (mine is about 6 in width), bunched and fastened together with rubber bands, and roll it up like a burrito. After one roll, trim the excess burlap, then secure it with a raffia bow.
Kraft paper is cut into a rectangle, and one corner is where the flowers should go. Wrap the paper around the flowers from the left side, fold it up from the bottom, and then wrap it around the entire bundle from the right side.
I cut a little strip of that burlap and used it as ribbon for the loop tie (yeah, I’m very love this black burlap). The only difference between tying a loop tie and tying a bow on your shoelaces is that with a loop tie, the second loop is pushed all the way through, making a knot around the first loop. Remove as much of the surplus as you like.
Make a loop out of the string and attach it to one of the flower stems (all the stems should already be tied together with a rubber band). As you move upward, wrap the string around each stem in a single layer. Wrap the string back down to the middle of the wrapping and make a bow once you’ve covered as much of the stems as you’d like.
I created bouquets of all sizes, but going miniature is an idea I particularly enjoy (and used last year!). That way, you can cover a lot more people, and they are ideal as party favors for a big gathering. Any of the approaches pictured here, albeit on a smaller scale, can be used to wrap them.

- The cupcake liners should have the circles glued in the middle.
- To finish the flower, trim some green stems and attach them to the back of the wrappers.
Easy Paper Rose
A rose is among the most challenging flowers to create with only paper. But here is how to make a paper flower easy.
- Craft paper
- Pencil
- Cut the craft paper into four of five-inch squares. Use white, pink, yellow, red, and other colored papers.
- On the piece of paper, draw a sizable circle.
- The circle should extend past the paper’s edges.
- Starting from the outside of the circle, draw a spiral toward the center of the paper.
- You may perform as many rounds as you like, but try to keep the inner rings separated by at least half an inch.
- Start cutting following the spiral lines with the provided scissors.
- If your child is unable to cut precisely on the line, it is okay.
- Roll the spiral, working your way inward from the outer edge. The paper should be rolled as firmly as you can.
- When there is nothing or very little paper left to roll, apply glue to the center (the unfolded portion) and finish the roll. To ensure proper adhesive spreading, press the spiral’s bottom.
- You can create a lovely paper rose by releasing the paper flower while holding the pointed end in your palm.

The Origami Flower Stem is a great little model, in that it allows any flower to stand up by itself, so you don’t need a vase.
Any flower can be utilized as long as the paper flower has a hole at the base where the stem can be inserted.
Diagram Instructions
1. Begin with a green paper square with the white side facing up. Crease, then fold in half, then open.
2. Insert these 2 diagonal corners into the fold in the middle.
3. Bring these edges inside toward the center crease.
4. Fold the outer corners to the center crease once more.
5. Flip the model over and fold the bottom corner up to the top.
6. Next, divide in half.
7. On the front and back, crease as shown. The leaf is then externally reverse folded using these creases.
Any origami flower with a hole in the base, like the tulip, can use the flower stem. Simply tuck the stem into the flower’s base.
