- For your peony, snip out a variety of petals—the more petals you clip, the fuller your peony will be.
- Cut a rectangle in yellow (about 2×1) Crepe paper is stretched to its maximum length, then one edge is fringed.
- Cut a piece of wire to the desired length for your peony.
- The yellow paper should be adhered to the wire using a small amount of hot glue, then wrapped to form the stamen.
- Stretch the previously cut petals, then start using little amounts of hot glue to affix them to the flower.
- Petals should be added to your flower until it is completely full. (You can glue the out-of-position petals further up as you attach them to create a blooming impression.)
- To make a seamless stem, cut a length of green crepe paper, stretch it, and affix it to the base of the peony.
- In accordance with the number of leaves you want for your peony, cut out 6–9 leaves from the template.
- Cut two or three wire pieces that are 4-6 long.
- Stretch the leaves slightly, twist the base of the leaf, and then use floral tape to secure it to the top of the wire.
- To the location where you want to put your next leaf, wrap the floral tape downward.
- When you get the desired number of leaves, repeat steps 10 and 11.
- Wrap the wire stem of your peony starting at the flower’s base in floral tape.
- Using floral tape, secure the leaf stem to the wire that has your leaves attached on it.
