Step 3: Prep Your Pretty Little Peonies For Vase Life

First, while holding them underwater, cut off 1 to 2 inches from the bottom of their stems at a 45-degree angle. This will increase the cut ends’ surface area and make it easier for your freshly cut peonies to absorb water.
