Who pays for the renovations on Bar Rescue?
Jon Taffer claims that he and the show’s sponsors pay for “everything.” The bar’s owner does not contribute a single penny to any of Jon’s changes.
Many of the high-level expenses are covered by the television network. Then, in exchange for exposure on the show, individual sponsors fund the cost of specific products.
A POS system company, for example, would donate a brand new POS system in exchange for coverage on the Bar Rescue episode. A lighting firm, for example, might do the lights in exchange for exposure.
This is why you’ll notice Jon Taffer recognizing the brand names of the devices he installs on a regular basis. Close-up photographs of new products are frequently seen in order to give the brand more exposure.
So there you have it: bar owners don’t have to pay anything for Jon’s guidance or any of the renovations or new equipment shown on the show.

Libad’s Seaside Tavern, in New Bedford’s South End, has officially advertised the business for sale, with Becky Demelo of Pelletier Realty handling the listing.
On the corner of Brock Avenue and Clara Street, the bar is categorized as a business building with a 0.12 acres. It is being offered for sale for $329,900. You will receive not only the restaurant, but also a full liquor license, stock and inventory, as well as an off-street parking lot with accessible parking possibilities. If I had to guess, I’d say you got your money’s worth.

Taffer was born on November 7, 1954, in Great Neck, New York, to Russian-Jewish parents. He graduated from William A. Shine Great Neck South High School in Great Neck in 1972 and moved to Los Angeles following a brief stint at the University of Denver, where he studied political science and minored in cultural anthropology.
