Along with any paper towel that may be clinging to the roots, insert the root into the hole. Lightly push the potting soil over the roots and in the vicinity of the stem. Place the seedling tray in the full sun, medium sun/shade, or shade, depending on the needs of the plants.

Given their rapid growth, it is crucial to provide the seedlings with enough of water in the beginning. For the first several days after transplanting, water in the tray’s base is acceptable.

After that, watch the seedlings closely and water them as soon as the potting soil starts to get dry. My seedlings are kept near the front of the home where I can see them frequently as I walk by. The seedlings are prepared for transplantation once they have their first set of genuine leaves.

You will require newspaper cutouts, school glue, scissors, and a few food cans to build recycled newspaper pots. Tear a five- to six-page newspaper section into wide strips, beginning at the top and ripping all the way to the bottom.
