History
The Texas-Tulips saga began about 40 years ago in Holland (often referred to as The Netherlands). A horticulture farm was begun by Piet & Afra Koeman with a spade and a few onion seeds. Later, they expanded the farm by planting tulip bulbs, leeks, chrysanthemums, and irises. They gradually increased the size of the property, and today they concentrate on producing tulip bulbs, growing tulips in numerous greenhouses. They finally determined to establish a tulip business in Pilot Point, Texas after several trips to Texas. In the soft, rolling hills north of Dallas, they discovered the ideal synthesis of rich soil, rural charm, and pleasant weather throughout the spring. It also allowed them to meet the customers who purchase their tulips, which was one of their greatest wishes!

What happens to tulips in Texas after they bloom?
Although Texas is not the best place for most tulip species, there is one thing you can do to aid them more than anything else, and that is to give them a fake winter to chill.
