- Late March: The festivities within the cosy Conservatory are kicked off by more than 200 orchids. The kobus magnolias, together with hyacinth, crocus, and other early bulbs, bloom in the Walled Garden.

Easter Egg Hunt Go on a thrilling hunt for enormous Easter eggs within Biltmore House and all throughout the grounds. Each egg that participants find while on their hunt can be crossed off in a Scavenger Hunt Guide. Younger participants (age 9 and under) will receive a reward. - To avoid crowds and make the most of your day, arrive early (9 AM).
- The busiest days are Saturdays. April, May, October, November, and December Saturdays are the busiest days of the year.
- Numerous dates sell out well in advance, particularly during the holiday season.
- Since it takes three miles to get from the entrance gate to the House, make sure to have a car. The Winery is five more miles away.
- Bring your own picnic or buy one from the ice cream shop outside the house. The Estate has lots of lovely picnic areas.
- Your ticket can be validated for the next day at the Reception & Ticket Center if you come on the estate after 4 PM. Additionally, adding a day is typically very affordable.
- Please remember to keep your pets on a leash at all times. The grounds are ideal for walking them. The wineries, restaurants, and other estate facilities, including the castle, are off-limits to pets.

Christmas at Biltmore is a two-month holiday festival that offers spectacular decorations, live music, and unique candlelight evening experiences. It’s the perfect way to ring in the new year in style.
A 35-foot Fraser fir serves as the focal point of the estate’s more than 100 hand-decorated Christmas trees. Santa rides a horse-drawn waggon to deliver the 35-foot tree, which is then raised into position in the lavish Banquet Hall during the annual tree-raising ceremony. A magnificent atmosphere is created by the 100,000 holiday lights and more than 25,000 decorations that are strung throughout the Estate. The estate also has a festive scent thanks to the 1,200 live poinsettias and 6,000 feet of fresh evergreen garland.

Self-guided entry to the Biltmore House, acres of gardens, the Conservatory, Antler Hill Village and Farm, and the Winery with a free wine sample are all included in daytime entrance tickets to Biltmore. Depending on your speed, you should allow 6 to 8 hours for all of the daytime admission activities if this is your first time visiting us.
It may be a simple trip or an all-day affair. We spent roughly an hour on the self-guided tour. We also visited the vineyard, had lunch, and enjoyed the grounds and conservatory. We were there for around six and a half hours total. This was a refresher as we already visited a few years earlier. Still incredibly fascinating and lovely! If I lived nearby, I’d go much more often! It’s entirely up to you how much time you want to spend there!
Depending on the crowds, 2 hours should be plenty to see the home; nevertheless, we highly recommend that you spend at least 6 hours, including breaks, seeing the gardens, Antler Village, and winery with samples.
Plan on spending at least six hours if you want to stroll through the gardens, visit the vineyard, and explore Antler Village. Depending on the number of people, the house tour may last 90 minutes to two hours. However, it’s a terrific spot to hang out.
Really, it all depends on what you want to do. We were here for around 6 hours total, which included exploring Antler Hill Village and sampling wine. Depending on how quickly you move, the home tour can last anywhere between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. There are several trails in the grounds, and you may also pause and unwind on the patio of the conservatory.

The majority of visitors to Biltmore Estate dress casually because there is no formal dress code here. As Biltmore House does not have air conditioning and does not become particularly warm in the winter, we advise dressing in layers and dressing for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking to do throughout the estate.
There is a business casual dress requirement in effect for anyone planning to eat dinner in The Dining Room at Inn on Biltmore Estate. This would include a collared shirt, decent jeans, and nice shoes.

Is Biltmore worth visiting at Christmastime?

Purchase daytime tickets on the Biltmore Estate website, starting at $106.00. For several days, bookings for tour times are necessary in order to enter the house. Frequently, tickets sell out in advance.
Self-guided audio tours of Biltmore House, the gardens, Antler Hill Village, and the Winery—open until nine o’clock—along with a free wine tasting—are all included with every ticket. The Conservatory’s excursion to the tropics and a stroll around the gardens’ winter plantings are not to be missed. There is also free parking available.
Seeing the Biltmore at Christmas is well worth it, with tickets starting at $119. With choirs and musicians performing, Candlelight Tours at Biltmore House have a cosy atmosphere. A 55-foot Norway spruce with 45,000 lights and hundreds of hand-lit lanterns illuminate the front lawn. Reservations are necessary and a different ticket is needed for admittance into Candlelight Evenings than for regular admission.
The price of basic tickets includes free parking, access to the grounds the day before or the day after your nighttime visit, audio tours of Biltmore House during the Candlelight Tour, and a wine sampling at Antler Hill Village and Winery. Candlelight tickets are few, so many events will sell out before they even begin. Purchase tickets as soon as possible.

Holiday Inn Suites Downtown Asheville: I previously stayed here and thought the facility was outstanding. It was conveniently located for downtown activities and more affordable than the Omni or Biltmore.
At the Antler Hill Village, there are numerous food establishments close to the winery. I went to Cedric’s Tavern for a delicious meal and a welcoming ambience.
How long does the Biltmore candlelight tour last?
The self-guided Biltmore House tour lasts roughly 11/2 hours. At Biltmore House, all visitors’ bags, packages, and cartons will be scanned.
At the Biltmore, what is free?
