You may have overpruned your hydrangea the year before if it won’t bloom this year. Hydrangeas that aren’t blooming have frequently had their branches cut in the early summer and late winter. In Animal Crossing, how long do hydrangeas bloom?
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can buy new bush beginnings from Leif’s Flower Shop either when he comes to your island outside Resident Services or when Harvey’s Shopping Plaza is established. Leif’s island sightings are highly sporadic, and you have no influence over how often or when he will show there.
Leif will always be selling two different varieties of bushes at a time, in both of their available colors, whether you locate him on your home island or at Harvey’s Island. Every Bush Type and Color Variety List
For Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can cultivate a total of 13 different bushes or shrubs, including 7 distinct varieties with a variety of colors for most bushes. Below are images of each variety of bush in each color.
Plumeria Bushes: Pink & White
The Version 2.0 Update introduced the Pink and White color versions of the Plumeria Bushes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which can be purchased from Leif’s Flower Shop for 280 Bells each. They are also present on the Kapp’n Mystery Islands.
In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from June 1 to September 20; in the Southern Hemisphere, from December 1 to March 20.
Azalea Bushes: Pink & White
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are Pink and White color variations of the Azalea Bushes that can be purchased from Leif’s Flower Shop for 280 Bells apiece. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from April 11 to May 31; in the Southern Hemisphere, from October 11 to November 30.
Camellia Bushes: Pink & Red
The Camellia Bushes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons have Pink and Red color variants costing 280 Bells each from Leif’s Flower Shop. In the Northern Hemisphere, they bloom from January 1 to March 31; in the Southern Hemisphere, from June 16 to September 30.
Wait for the Shrubs to Grow!
Wait three days after planting the shrubs for them to bloom. They don’t require Watering Cans to thrive, unlike Flowers, so have a seat and unwind!
Bushes and Shrubs Don’t Have Hybrids
The only method to obtain more Bushes and Shrubs is to purchase them from Leif since they cannot organically spread or cross-pollinate and can only be grown in the shop’s stock of hues.
Why haven’t my hydrangeas started to leaf?
I guess I’m getting a little late. However, I won’t worry just yet. The plant may produce stems from the crown or base if the stems die off and do not leaf out. Wait a little longer; it appears to be undecided as to whether to leaf out or produce new stems.
Just keep giving it attention and watch what happens. They all turn green at erroneous times thanks to wholesalers, which could cause confusion. This response is occasionally typical following their first winter.
However, depending on the winter, it should begin to leaf out in Atlanta between March and mid-April. For me in ATL, mopheads opened their leaves first, followed by oakleaves, who would do so earlier than paniculatas like VS. Since there weren’t many paniculatas in the region, I would only sometimes see them turn leaves.
Blue hydrangeas in Animal Crossing: How to Get Them?
Leif will sell you Blue-Hydrangea Starts for 280 Bells. Between June 1 and July 20 in the Northern Hemisphere and December 1 and January 20 in the Southern Hemisphere, they are assuredly available from Leif.
Blue Roses Regular Breeding Procedure
Purchase the upcoming Nook’s Cranny offers three types of roses: red rose, white rose, and yellow rose.
Breed the following combinations to produce Purple and Orange Roses: White Purple = White Red Orange + Yellow Use only flowers grown from store-bought seeds!
To produce Hybrid Reds, breed the Purple and Orange Roses you raised in [Step 2]. OrangePurple = Red (Hybrid)
Together, breed the Hybrid Reds you raised in [Step 4]. Red (Hybrid) Blue + Red (Hybrid) Make certain that the Reds you’re using were bred utilizing the methodology described in [Step 3]!
Roses Must Be Grown From Seeds
Only red (hybrid) roses can be crossed to produce blue flowers. Planting white, red, and yellow roses on your island is a good place to start. These are best purchased as seeds and are offered by Nook’s Cranny!
Seeds Change Every Day
Every day, the seed catalog of Nook’s Cranny is updated. You can either wait until they’re available or ask a friend to bring some if they don’t have Rose seeds for sale that day.
Plant Roses In Separate Areas
White roses should be placed on the left, and red and yellow ones on the right. Be careful not to combine them!
Red and Yellow Rose seeds should not be planted together with White Rose seeds. Take extreme care to prevent them from mingling and encroaching on one other’s space. It would be wise to erect a fence to keep them apart.
White Rose x White Rose = Purple Rose
You must interbreed two White Roses to produce a Purple Rose. Take your time with this phase because you’ll want to collect lots of purples.
Yellow Rose x Red Rose = Orange Rose
By breeding a Yellow Rose and a Red Rose together, orange roses can be developed. You’ll need a lot of these, just as with the purples!
Relocate New Flowers
Your surgery will be more effective the more Purples and Oranges you have. As soon as one of them blossoms, instantly move it to a different location and begin working there!
Breed Purple & Orange To Get Red (Hybrid)
After your Orange and Purple Roses have developed, transfer them to a different location so they can produce Red (Hybrid) Roses. The only rose that can produce blue roses is this one.
ImportantHybrid Reds Are Different From Other Roses
Due to the fact that they are hybrids, these Reds are fundamentally distinct from conventional store-bought ones. They have the same outward appearance as regular ones, but their genetic makeup is very different. Do not confuse these with other red flowers because they are the only reds that may produce blue roses.
Get Rid Of Non-Reds
Any non-red bud spawn that forms at this time can be safely disposed of. Keep in mind that Reds do not always spawn, so exercise some patience at this point.
Plant Hybrid (Red) Together To Get Blue Roses
Planting numerous Red (Hybrid) Roses together will eventually result in Blue Roses. Never combine hybrid reds with other reds and remember to get rid of non-red spawns.

In Animal Crossing, how can you grow flowers on bushes?
A variety of flower seeds and shrub beginnings are available from Leif; flower seeds cost 240 Bells each and 1,200 Bells for five, while shrub starters cost 280 Bells and 1,400 Bells for five.
You need to first purchase a few shrub starters before you may add shrubs to your island. These will eventually develop into bushes and, if the time is right, flower.
Leif will offer four different varieties of shrub beginnings and six different varieties of flower seeds at each of his trips.

Why aren’t my bushes expanding?
Your shrubs and trees could not perform well after they have established themselves for one of two major reasons. You could not be feeding your trees and shrubs appropriately and watering your plants improperly. Homeowners regularly fail to fertilize and water excessively, but only during brief application windows. Typically, especially in periods of extreme weather, this won’t provide them with what they need to continue growing effectively.
How to Water Your Trees & Plants
All of your shrubs should be watered every time to a depth of 18 to 24 inches, and you should let them dry out a little before you water them again. You are constructing an underground water storage facility to provide the plant with a supply of water on hot, windy days. Similar to this, you should water your trees, but make sure to always saturate the root ball down to around 36 inches.
This achieves two goals. It first aids in water conservation. It is challenging to completely wet the feeder roots below the dirt when you give your trees and plants short waterings.
