April 1–30, 2022, is the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival’s season. The optimum time to visit, however, entirely depends on the weather that month and when the majority of the tulips begin to blossom. You should check the bloom state ahead of time because it fluctuates from year to year.
Remember that you should wait to visit if it has been chilly and rainy until later in April. Don’t wait too long if the weather has been sunnier than usual because the tulips might already have topped by the end of the month.
Tulips bloom for around two weeks, and because different types bloom at various periods during the month, they are spaced out.
No matter what time of year you visit, Skagit County has over a million tulip bulbs planted, so there will always be enough to view!
The Washington Bulb Company is also North America’s top producer of daffodil and iris bulbs in addition to tulip bulbs, and daffodils are in full bloom right before tulips emerge. Despite the lack of a daffodil festival, if you visit in March, you’ll also be treated to stunning fields of yellow.
Advice:If it were me, I’d make every effort to avoid coming on the weekends. Weekend traffic is terrible, especially if it’s sunny. On a good day, it takes 20 minutes to get to the fields as traffic is already backed up simply to exit the freeway.
Try to visit during the week, arrive early, and don’t be concerned if it starts to shower. You won’t have to spend half your day traveling there and back on those days because they are the least congested for visiting the tulip fields.

The Holland Tulip Festival will last how long in 2021?
The festival is held where? The Tulip Time Festival does not take place in a single, guarded area. The majority of the events and activities take place within a 4-mile radius of Downtown Holland over the course of 8 days in May. Public parks and the streets in the city’s center are free places to admire tulips.
No tickets are required to visit Holland, explore the area, or take in the sights. Even though the specific Tulip Time activities and events are over for 2022, there are still plenty of other things to do and see nearby.

How much does a trip to Tulip Town cost?
To provide you the best possible tulip experience, Tulip Town will be opening earlier and staying open longer in addition to transitioning to online ticketing.
General Admission, Experience Pass, and Photography Pass are the three available passes. $15 for those aged 12 and over, $7 for those aged 6 to 11, and free for those under the age of 5. The cost of a fresh Anytime ticket has increased to $25. (one full day admission, not time reservation necessary).
The Tulip Bloom field, tulip gardens, indoor tulip exhibit, and barn experience are all included in the General Admission price, along with parking and a trolley trip. The $50 Experience pass includes everything in General Admission as well as a mini-workshop and escorted entrance into the field where you will be shown how to pick your own bouquet. It also comes with a mini-workshop and a concierge service. Along with a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, you’ll return home with your prized blooms and insider knowledge from the Tulip Town pros! The Photography Admission, last but not least, costs $100 for a day pass and $375 for a season pass. The tulip field and gardens are only accessible with a Photography Pass between the hours of sunrise and sunset and throughout regular business hours.
What distinguishes RoozenGaarde from Tulip Town?
As usual, I’ll concentrate more on useful advice in my assessment than standard tourist information. Recently, we traveled to both Tulip town and Roozengaarde. I’d like to compare the two and offer some helpful advice:
1. Compared to Tulip Town, Roozengaarde has far larger tulip fields. Although Tulip Town is likewise large (albeit not as large as Roozengaarde), its Tulip exhibit is different. While Tulip Town primarily consists of shorter rows of Tulips with various hues, Roozengaarde prefers vast fields with the same color of Tulips (looks like Rainbow). Since it is difficult to choose, if you have time, do both. Tulip Town offers more family-friendly attractions (e.g. they have section for face painting, few shops, ice cream parlor etc.) There are less of those things in Roozengaarde. 3. Tulip Town only accepts cash, while Roozengaarde accepts credit cards (they do have ATM though) 4. Tulips are best avoided on weekends since the crown will be chaotic. Weekdays will be considerably more enjoyable with less traffic. If you arrive by, let’s say, 9:30 AM, you cover one of the two in the morning, break for lunch, and then cover the other. If you’re going on a weekend, I’d suggest being there by 2:30 PM, at which point you should be fine because people start departing. Then, you can only travel to one location. Otherwise, you’ll need to go there very early (8.30 AM) in order to find a parking spot and avoid traffic.
