On weekdays, early morning and late afternoon are the least crowded times. The weekend is busy. Booking a Lodging Option in Skagit Valley and passing by the fields in the early morning or late afternoon will give you the finest experience.
A: Every year, from April 1 to 30, the Tulip Festival is celebrated. However, when the tulips blossom is decided by mother nature. Tulips can bloom in the last week of March in some years and the second week of April in other years. Additionally, there are tulip variants that bloom sooner and later. The first daffodil blossoms in March are celebrated at the La Conner Daffodil Festival.

A: Can we ride our bikes on the fields, and are there any bike trails nearby?
Yes! Nearly every road has a shoulder to ride on and is beautiful and flat among the tulip fields. For routes, consult the Skagit County Bike Map.
A: The roads leading up to the fields will have signage prohibiting parking. Please use a parking area for safety reasons.
A: Dogs and other animals are not permitted in the fields or show gardens. The newest Tulip Garden is an exception. Dogs on leashes that behave nicely are welcome in Garden Rosalyn.
A: From Seattle, take I-5 North, and from Vancouver, BC, take I-5 South. Use the Tulip Festival map to choose your exit based on where you want to go and which fields you want to see. From I-5, you will be traveling west.

Can we re-enter the border with cut flowers? How about lightbulbs?
A: You are welcome to place cut tulip flowers along the border. However, because they are in the ground, bulbs cannot be purchased during the tulip festival, but they can be delivered to Canada in the fall.
What are Show Gardens, exactly? A: You really must go to both RoozenGaarde and Tulip Town! The grounds have more than a million spring bulbs planted. Both have an admission fee; however, Tulip Town tickets cannot be used at RoozenGaarde and vice versa. The gardens are off-limits to pets.
Since the early 1900s, tulips from the Skagit Valley have been grown here. Currently, the Washington Bulb Co., Inc/RoozenGaarde grows “field tulips.” The timing of the field tulips’ blooming is dependent on the weather in April. Visit our Facebook sites, phone the Tulip Festival office at 360.428.5959, or the BLOOM MAP to check on the status of the bloom. You will require a fresh map every year because tulip crops rotate.
A: The two gardens, RoozenGaarde and Tulip Town, offer free parking. Bradshaw Road has parking for Tulip Town. Beaver Marsh Road’s RoozenGaarde. On busy days, both feature overflow parking; flaggers will direct you. A few of the tulip fields are serviced by official, paid parking run by RoozenGaarde. Your official pay lot ticket stub is good for one entry to RoozenGaarde, and parking in designated lots is included with paid RoozenGaarde admission (display your ticket stub). Parking and admission must take place on the same day. Please take note that lots near the fields may close if it rains too much.
Some landowners impose parking fees. You cannot purchase entrance or additional parking with the money you pay.
Can I bring my drone to the festival of tulips? A: No, drones are not permitted in the fields or gardens.

Do I have to give RoozenGaarde credit if I publish images of the exhibition fields or garden? Yes, please sign and send the Tulip Festival Photo Release Form to the Roozengaarde (Washington Bulb Co.) office.

Can dogs be brought to the Oregon Tulip Festival?
We traveled to Oregon in April primarily to take part in the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Although the exact dates change from year to year, the festival lasts from the end of March until the end of April. Visit around the latter half of the festival season for the greatest blossoms. The festival is pet-friendly and is held on more than 40 acres of flower-filled grounds. Rainbow hot air balloons are launched on the weekends to give more color to the scene.
Important Advice: Purchase a season pass to have access to the tulips outside regular business hours. The season pass allows entry before and after the festival for a whole vehicle. Parking is scarce without a season pass, and it gets brutally crowded by 9 a.m. By the time we left the tulips, there were a lot of people in the fields and a big queue of automobiles waiting to enter the parking lot. The commotion overshadowed the peaceful blossoms. With each visit, we arrived about 6:30 am and left by 9 am.
Don’t worry if you missed the Tulip Festival; the Swan Island Dahlias are equally lovely and pet-friendly. From August through September, the fields are accessible to the general public. The 40 acres of the Dahlia farm are home to more than 360 different kinds of vibrant flowers. We were pleasantly pleased by how tranquil and quiet the fields were when we went in the late summer.
We chose to stay in Silverton, Oregon so that we could arrive at the festival before daybreak and enjoy breakfast in the charming downtown area after touring the tulip fields. The Main Street Bistro & Gather is one of the best pet-friendly restaurants in Silvertown. Examine the menus and choose a table outside as they are right next to one another.
Are dogs allowed at the Skagit Valley Tulip Fesitval?
Dogs were often not permitted at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival until this year.
Dogs are not permitted in the gardens of the two biggest and most popular fields, RoozenGaarde and Tulip Town.
However, a new field started working in 2022. Well-behaved dogs on leads are permitted in Garden Rosalyn.
A few smaller tulip fields also participate in the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival celebration. Some are marked on the map, but you might also locate some by searching for them while driving around.
Please be aware that there are no or very few road shoulders in this rural location, making it illegal to park on the side of the road.
For this choice, you will need to locate tulip fields with off-street parking.
Are dogs allowed at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fesitval?
If you plan to bring your dog, all they ask is that you behave properly—keep them on a leash, pick up after them, and don’t let them to dig in the tulip fields.

In the Pacific Northwest, it is tulip season. You and your canine companion are cordially invited to the 40 acres of vibrantly colored tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm located outside Woodburn, Oregon, for the Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest. Where is the best festival for tulips?
The Dutchest place on Earth is Holland, Michigan. Can dogs visit Windmill Island Gardens?
Animal Friendly Pets are welcome, but the windmill and gift store are off limits because of food processing. Pets must be on a leash and cleaned up after. Doggie-Pot bag dispensers are scattered throughout the park and are available to visitors.
Does Holland State Park permit dogs?
All areas of Holland State Park in Holland, Michigan excluding the beach section where people can swim are pet-friendly. On the paths and a portion of the beachfront that is not a designated beach area, pets are allowed on leashes.
