Break the Cactus Plant
Depending on the version of Minecraft, the game control to destroy the cactus plant is as follows:
- You can left-click and hold on the cactus in the Java Edition (PC/Mac).
- You tap the cactus in Pocket Edition (PE) and hold the button.
- Press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
- Press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller for the PS3 and PS4.
- Press and hold the ZR button on the gamepad for Wii U.
- Press and hold the ZR button on the controller for the Nintendo Switch.
- Left-click and hold on the cactus to access the Windows 10 Edition.
- On the cactus for the Education Edition, left click and hold.
A tiny fragment of the cactus plant will break off and fall to the ground.
Spawning
The Badlands and the Desert are the only two biomes where cacti can spawn. In desert biomes, they occur twice as frequently.
Cacti can spawn at heights of one, two, or three blocks. It may be taller than that, though, if the world creation spawns several cacti one on top of the other.
How can a cactus be grown at home?

Cacti’s rate of growth
An eye-catching and intriguing addition to your decor can be made by a cactus plant, especially if it is rather large. Larger cactus, however, are scarce.
Due to adaptations for thriving in their natural desert habitat, cactus plants naturally grow considerably more slowly than most plants. A giant cactus houseplant is astonishing not just for its appearance but also for the dedication and effort needed to grow that big.
You may be wondering how quickly cactus plants grow if you own one but it doesn’t seem to be growing as quickly as your other houseplants.
The majority of cactus plant varieties develop slowly. Depending on the species, they may only reach a height of a few centimeters if grown from seed after the first two or three years. With a few notable exceptions that can occasionally grow up to 15cm each year, most cactus plants will grow from there at a rate of roughly 1-3cm per year.
Some of the lowest care plants you may choose to cultivate in your house are cactus plants, but this comes at the cost of requiring a lot of patience.
