Will Pink Princess seeds grow into plants if purchased online? Sure. Will there be a ‘Pink Princess’ as a result? No!
Philodendron ‘Pink Princess’ has an unstable variegation, and you can’t cultivate named variations from seed.
If the seeds are viable and you can get them to germinate, almost all of them will not produce the ‘Pink Princess’ type and will instead “revert” to a solid green Philodendron.
So spare yourself the trouble and stay away from any internet advertisements for Philodendron Pink Princess seeds since they’re all fakes!

How long does it take philodendron to grow from seed?
To keep the soil moist, spray it on a frequent basis. Before planting, philodendron seeds do not need to be soaked. At a soil temperature of 68 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit, the seeds will germinate in two to eight weeks.
How do you grow a baby philodendron pink princess?
In bright, indirect light, the Philodendron Pink Princess thrives. A few hours of mild sunlight in the early morning are beneficial, but keep this plant away from direct sunlight. For better variegation, it requires at least 6 hours of bright indirect light. Windows that face east or west are good.
Can you propagate pink princess?
Pink Princess, like all Philodendrons, is easy to reproduce from stem cuttings. Just below a node where leaves sprout, cut the stem off. Make sure each cutting has at least three or four healthy, variegated leaves.
Place your clippings in a water-filled jar or vase. Every 2-3 days, change the water. Within a couple of weeks, you should notice new roots.
When the roots are a couple of inches long, place the cutting in its own pot with appropriate substrate and treat it like a mature plant.
If your plant has numerous stems emerging from the root ball, just divide the root ball in half and repot the two plants in two separate pots instead of one.
Why are pink princess philodendron so expensive?
The pink princess is a high-priced item. This is because, even if the mother plant is widely variegated with pink, growers cannot ensure that their philodendrons will turn out pink enough to be sold as a pink princess philodendron.

How do I make my pink princess philodendron pink?
The Pink Princess generates a brighter and crisper pink variegation the more light it receives. Avoid shining direct sunlight on the plant, especially the pink leaves, which are susceptible to sunburn. Place them near a south-facing window or under grow lights to help them thrive. Depending on your set up and coverage area, the VOGEK LED Full Spectrum Grow Lights or the MARS Hydro TS 1000W (if you have a lot of plants to shine on) are some of the grow lights I recommend.
How do you start a philodendron seed?
Make sure your planter, whether it’s a tray or a nursery pot, has a well-draining potting mix that’s moist but not soggy. It’s not required to soak the seeds ahead of time, but it’s a good idea. To soak them, fill a jar halfway with warm-hot water, drop the seeds in, and let them soak for 24-48 hours. Plant the seeds 1/3″ deep and at least 2″ apart (start with 2-3 seeds per 3″ nursery pot). To keep the soil moist and the temperature about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, cover it with plastic and keep an eye on it. In approximately a month, the seeds should germinate.
How can I make my philodendron grow faster?
Philodendrons can thrive in low light, but bright indirect light promotes faster and healthier growth. In direct sunlight, they will get sunburned.
Drainage should be adequate in your container. Once a week, water when the top 50 percent of the soil is dry. When the leaves start to turn yellow, it’s a sign that there’s been too much water. If the leaves become brown, though, your plant requires extra water.
Philodendrons thrive in temperatures between 70° and 80°F during the day and above 55°F at night. Average home humidity levels are OK, but a spray or rinsing of the leaves once in a while would be nice and help remove dust.
Overwatering can cause root rot, but yellow leaves will alert you to reduce the amount of water you use. While they are rarely plagued by pests, keeping an eye out for aphids and mites is a good idea. If you do happen to notice them, try usingInsect Soap.

How do philodendrons propagate in soil?
Philodendron stem cuttings can be rooted in a cup of water or a small container of potting soil. To make a cutting, cut a piece of stem about 3-6 inches long with a clean, sharp knife or garden snips ($14, The Home Depot). Make your cut just above another leaf on the stalk if possible. This permits the remainder of your plant to generate more branches and leaves from that point, as well as giving your clipped stem plenty of room to form new roots.
